We played three games new to the group tonight. First we played Poseidon's Kingdom, a game I first saw at SaltCon and is incredibly rare (only 1000 printed). Not everyone liked it, but I think it is a fun game with strategic decisions. We kind of fumbled the last turn and what we were to do so we extended the game an extra turn. I doubt if this game will ever get published in the US, the pieces are too nice for mass production. It utilizes dice in an interesting way as they crash off of the big wave and land in the smaller waves, they must then be "eaten" (collected) to free your friends from the Kraken.
In the meantime some played Zooloretto, and then for the late game we played Rattus. There were some rules I was fuzzy on, but it went alright and we adjusted. It is a fairly easy and simple game, but with cool strategy and role selections. It would have been better if we followed all the rules the whole game, but we play and learn.
